Bio

Andrea Bonime-Blanc is Founder and CEO of GEC Risk Advisory and a global governance, risk and ethics strategist to the for-profit, non-profit and governmental sectors worldwide. She has held senior executive roles at Bertelsmann, PSEG, and Verint, including general counsel and chief risk and ethics officer. In early 2017, she was appointed independent Ethics Advisor to the Financial Oversight & Management Board for Puerto Rico. In both 2014 and 2015, the Ethisphere Institute recognized her as among the “100 Most Influential in Business Ethics.” She was named among the “Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior” by Trust Across America in 2014.

She is chair emeritus of the Ethics and Compliance Association, board member and past chair of Epic Theatre Ensemble, advisory board member to several think tanks, a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a professor at NYU. Bonime-Blanc has published widely and is the author of The Reputation Risk Handbook: Surviving and Thriving in the Age of Hyper-Transparency (2014) and of The Conference Board’s Emerging Practices in Cyber-Risk Governance (2015). She is writing a new book for Routledge/Greenleaf, Gloom to Boom: How Leaders Transform Risk into Resilience & Value (2018) and, with co-author, Anastassia Lauterbach, The Artificial Intelligence Imperative: A Practical Roadmap for Business (Praeger 2018). She tweets @GlobalEthicist, writes the Risk2ValueBlog and is a frequent global keynote speaker.
